Though the primary clientele of this library, is the staff and students of the Institute, the library from its very beginning has been made open to students, researchers and scholars from various Colleges / Universities and Research Organizations in Mumbai and other parts of the country.
The readership of this library is currently available for the following categories of readers.
- Students enrolled for various courses organized in the institute from time to time.
- Students enrolled for different fellowship programmes of the Institute.
- Scientific Staff of the Institute.
- P.G. Students, Research Scholars, Scientists and Faculty Members of various Colleges, Educational Institutes, Research Organizations, etc.
- Scientific and Technical staff of commercial organizations
Browsing, Referencing, Reading and Photocopy Privileges are provided to all the above categories of readers. Borrowing Privileges are available only to the students of this institute against the payment of a Refundable Deposit. Post Graduate Students, Research Scholars, Scientists and Faculty Members of various Colleges, Educational Institutes, Research Organizations, etc. desirous of availing a regular reading facility at the library are required to submit, at the Reference Desk, a Readership Request Form duly filled in. This form can be collected from the Reference Desk between 10.00 a.m. through 17.00 p.m. However, it should be noted that no borrowing facility is available to such outside visitors. |
