This library is basically for the staff and students of the Haffkine Institute. However, the librarian, at his discretion, may permit the use of its collection to the students of outside colleges and institutions, depending upon the then available library staff and the need of the users. However, no external user can have the borrowing facility. No outside visitor can claim any service from this library as his/her privilege. If permitted by the librarian, they can photocopy the required material by paying necessary charges within limits of the Copy-Right Act. |

No bags, umbrellas, folders, purses are allowed to be carried inside the stacking area. |
|
|
|
Users are advised not to carry any precious materials such as money, gold, etc. while coming to the library. Any precious item deposited at the counter, if found lost, the library can not be held responsible for the same. |

|
Personal books are not permitted inside the stacking area. |
|
|
|
The readers may be permitted to read their own personal books in a Study Room marked for the purpose. They will not be allowed to enter the stacking area, or where the library books are kept. |

|
|
Books from the Reference Collection and Loose Issues of the Scientific Serials can not even be borrowed by the students and staff of the Haffkine Institute. |

|
The staff and students of the Haffkine Institute can bring and use their Laptops inside the library premises. |
|
|
|
While entering or leaving the library premises, all kinds of users are required to produce for inspection, at the Reception Counter, all items that they are carrying in or out of the library. |

|
The library is open for use during 9.00 a.m. through 17.30 p.m. |

|
The library will remain close on all Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays as declared by the Government of Maharashtra from time to time. |
|
|
|
The readers are required to maintain silence and discipline in the library. |
|
|
|
No consumption of any of the food items is permitted inside the library premises. |
| |
|
|
All common Etiquettes, Manners and Dress-Code are expected to be followed by every user of the library. No Loud Speaking, Sleeping, Smoking, Spitting is permitted. |

|
|
If a student is found guilty of any misconduct, such as, Tearing off the pages, Marking on the books, Misbehaviour with the staff, his/her college ID will be withheld by the library and a complaint letter to this effect will be sent the Principal/Dean of the college of the concerned student for a stern action in addition to the recovery of the concerned damages from the student. |
