Testing Activities
The Department offers laboratory tests on insecticides,
pesticides and insect repellent products and devices
as per the protocols of the regulatory tests described
by the Pesticides/Insecticides regulatory authority
of the Govt. of India.
Various permitted substances and
products containing these are tested for insecticidal
or repellent activity on various species of mosquitoes,
cockroaches, houseflies. Studies are also conducted
for testing the persistence of their effects on
different test surfaces as per the prescribed
and standardized laboratory protocols.
