Holdings Library Collection

The Haffkine Library maintains one of the oldest and most valuable biomedical collections in the country, continuously developed since the Institute's founding.

The collection spans primary and secondary sources: textbooks, reference books, print scientific serials, theses, dissertations, technical reports, microfiches, CDs/DVDs, e-books, e-journals, online databases and Haffkine publications. The reference collection includes dictionaries, directories, encyclopaedias, pharmacopoeias, handbooks, annual reviews, and abstracting & indexing sources. Greater emphasis is now placed on online databases and e-text knowledge materials.

Ground Floor

Current Periodicals & Books

Current Scientific Serials are displayed in the Current Periodical Section alongside books.

 

First Floor

Books are displayed and available for reading in Reading Hall II.

 

Second Floor

Scientific Serials – Applied Sciences

Chemistry, Electronics, Medicine, Pharmacology, Phytochemistry, Statistics, Toxicology and related subjects.

 

Third Floor

Scientific Serials – Life Sciences

Bacteriology, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, General Sciences, Immunology, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Parasitology, Virology and more.
